Quick help for on-the-go jobseekers
Not everyone needs an A-to-Z résumé writing service.
Like most people looking to change jobs, you probably already have a résumé, you just need some help to polish up the wording and presentation.
As an editor, I use the content you already have, plus some additional background info, to deliver a comprehensive makeover at a fraction of the price of traditional résumé packages.
All-in-one editing to bring out your best
My makeover covers four key areas:
✓ Editorial check
Takes care of those pesky grammar rules and conventions, ensuring your résumé never again gets binned because of a misplaced apostrophe
✓ Content review
To repurpose your text for flow, consistency, and tone of voice – so you sound as great on paper as you are in person
✓ Keyword optimization
Matching you to your target position or industry, boosting your profile and increasing your chances of being offered an interview
✓ New, simple design
Puts your skills and experience front and center, not hidden behind gimmicky fonts and unnecessary graphics
The nuts and bolts
You’ll need to provide a copy of your most recent résumé as well as answer a short questionnaire about your job search. You’ll also need to select a design from my template gallery.
Once you’ve sent in your existing résumé and filled out your questionnaire, I’ll review your order to make sure I have everything I need.
Your 72-hour countdown begins when you get an email confirming your makeover has started. Once your makeover’s complete, I’ll email you your new résumé in Word and PDF.
My designs are mostly graphic-free, so you’ll be able to implement any final edits yourself without compromising the format. However, if you prefer, you can email me with some last-minute changes and I’ll be happy to incorporate them for you as promptly as I can.
Not in Kansas anymore
This isn’t a typical résumé service. There are no silver and gold or basic and premium packages. You don’t even have to take time out of a busy day for a video consultation.
All you need to do is provide a copy of your most recent résumé, select your new design, and fill out a short questionnaire. I’ll take care of the rest.
On the other hand, if you do require a more traditional service, this makeover probably won’t do it for you. But you might find my articles on résumé strategy useful – you can find those here.
A makeover so delightful…
You’ll want to hug the paper (but don’t, it’ll get all crinkly and I’ll have to charge you for a replacement).
Speaking of charges, you’d probably like to know what my rates are. Lucky for you, I’m a letters not a numbers guy, so we work with flat rates around here.
For the price of a week’s worth of Starbucks – £30, to be exact – you can have a brand-new résumé in your inbox in the next three days. Sound reasonable? I think so too.
